Leawood Park, at the corner of S. Pierce St. and W. Fair Dr., includes a playground, softball field, soccer field, and picnic area.

Racoon Hollar Park, at the east end of Leawood in between W. Fair Dr. and W. Leawood Dr., includes a nature walk through mature cottonwoods and along a small creek.
At the east end of Racoon Hollar Park is a softball field and xeriscape garden.
Weaver Park, running along the south side of W. Weaver Dr., includes tennis courts, a soccer field, volleyball pit, basketball hoops, small playground, and picnic area.
The Leawood Metropolitan Recreation and Park District was organized in 1974 in order to accept the donation of Leawood Park from K. C. Ensor, the developer of Leawood. As a district organized under Colorado statutes, the district could levy taxes to develop and maintain parks. A bond issue was passed by the district's residents to provide the funding for initial development of the park.
Since 1974, Jefferson County deeded additional lands within the district which have become Weaver and Raccoon Hollar Parks. Development of these parks has been funded through Colorado Lottery revenue, special grants from Jefferson County Open Space Program and the tax revenues from district residents. The local revenues, which also are used to maintain the parks and provide some recreational programs, come from a property tax of slightly less than 4 mils. Each home in Leawood pays about $50 per year for our parks.
In 1993 Country Farms Subdivision became part of the Leawood Metropolitan Recreation and Park District
and more recently so did Vintage Reserve. The Leawood District is managed by a Five Member Board of Directors, which are elected for four-year terms. Elections are held in May of even numbered years and the board elects its own officers following each general election.
